Reviews / Zapier

Zapier review 2026.

Zapier charges per task — every individual step in every workflow run. A 10-step workflow running 300 times per month consumes 3,000 tasks, which costs $50/month. The same workflow on n8n uses 300 executions and costs €20/month.

Cost verdict

Zapier is overpriced for anyone running multi-step workflows at meaningful volume. It is the easiest automation platform to set up — that ease has a real price. For simple 1–2 step Zaps at low volume the free tier or $20/mo plan is fine. For anything more complex, the economics break down fast.

Worth it if

  • You have simple 1–3 step automations at low volume
  • You need a specific integration only Zapier has
  • You are non-technical and need the absolute easiest setup

Overpaying if

  • Your workflows have 5+ steps — task costs multiply quickly
  • You run the same workflows 200+ times per month
  • You are on a paid plan and have any technical capability
